About the Team: 

Priest in Charge, Rev Canon Kevin Thompson has served in ordained ministry since 1964. He has been in Murihiku as Hospital Chaplain and Priest in Charge since May 2007.

Rev Peggy Peek is of Kai Tahu and Ngati Mamoe descent and does a lot of Pastoral Care Ministry amongst Iwi and within the community of Murihiku.

Rev Ani Wainui is Ngati Porou and is currently the principal of Te Kura o Arowhenua Kura Kaupapa.

Rev Haranui Karetai, Kai Tahu, Kati Mamoe, has recently returned to us from St Johns College in Auckland and ready to serve the whanau of Murihiku.

Rev Putiputi Thompson is of Kai Tahu and Ngati Huarewa descent. She is our deacon and has had a good deal of experience in Social Services.

Kaikarakia Alex Waiherere is of Ngai Tuhoe descent and has recently retired from teaching at Te Kura o Arowhenua.

Fayleen and Raina Tokena are from Te Arawa and together with Heeni, serve at Te Tumanako Rawhiti, the Kohanga Reo.
